Give your blog the extra push

blog’m is a unique mobile platform created for bloggers as a clever and easy way of bringing the elements and experience of weblogs into the personal and highly engaging space of mobile devices. It pushes a blogger’s entries to subscribed mobile phones, thereby promoting immediate engagement with whatever message a blogger wants to convey. Photos and images are optimized to make the mobile experience more dynamic and compelling.

How blog'm Works?

If you are a professional blogger, you must have an active blog that uses either Wordpress or Movable Type. You must also be willing to have your site evaluated to determine whether it can use the blog’m platform. Once your blog site has been evaluated and approved for inclusion to the blog’m community, you can invite fans and followers to subscribe to your mobile blog alerts. You will have control on the schedule of “pushing” blog entries to subscribers. You can choose to push your posts as you publish online, or schedule delivery at the exact moment your followers would most appreciate content.

FAQ's

Can I bring my online advertisers into the picture?

We really hope you would. That way, we both get some of the rapidly increasing ad budget for mobile ads.

Which mobile device makers and models does CYNAMON support?

blog’m works on most Java MIDP2.0-compliant devices. These devices include models from all major handset manufacturers. Android and iPhone versions are underway.

How can our followers get the blog’m mobile app?

Depending on your publishing system, we’ll give your followers a way to register. In a nutshell, they just need to key-in their mobile numbers and we’ll send the download link to them over-the-air.

Remember that these are required in order for your followers to successfully install and use the app.
1. The handset must be in the list of supported devices.
2. The handset's data/internet settings must be properly configured.
3. The handset must have sufficient load if it's subscribed to a prepaid plan.

How much will the app cost our followers?

Your followers can download and install the blog’m app for free. However, standard data charges apply each time they launch and use the application. A secret we want to share: the app works over Wi-Fi and your followers just have to snoop around for free Wi-Fi spots to enjoy free unlimited access to the service.

In addition, we're working with advertisers and mobile operators to make the entire usage fully subsidized even in areas where there are no free WiFi. You'll see such announcements in our site (www.cynamon.com).

Where can our mobile subscribers use the service?

blog’m works over most mobile network operators around the world. This is one feature we’re proud to offer to bloggers with substantial followers abroad.

How can my subscribers configure their phone’s data/Internet settings?

They need to check with their mobile service providers for the appropriate internet settings based on handset model and service plan (postpaid, prepaid, etc.). Many mobile network operators preconfigure mobile devices that are purchased directly from their outlets. Some send SMS messages that auto configure a device's Internet settings. Visit your service provider's website as most operators publish FAQs that guide subscribers on how to configure Internet settings. Some device manufacturers-such as Nokia (www.nokia.com) also provide easy-to-use guides on how to configure phone settings.

What does 'Out of Memory Error' mean?

"Out of Memory Error" means your phone has insufficient "heap" memory to allow an application to work properly. This is generally caused by multiple applications running simultaneously (such as composing and sending text messages while the music player is running). If you see this message, you need to close one or more running applications in order to use another properly. Don't confuse "heap memory" from the "memory" we generally equate with a phone's capacity to store images and mp3s. Your phone may have gigabytes of free space for various files, but may still have insufficient heap memory when running multiple applications.
